CCNZ submitted on a proposed change by Ministry of Education, which was consulting around reducing its current panels of pre-qualified suppliers to just 3-5 suppliers, across each of three proposed regions.
CCNZ strongly opposed the proposals, and expressed concern around placing market control in the hands of a few suppliers that may become 'gatekeepers' for the Ministry's $1b work programme.
